Infants

Toddlers

As children become more mobile, 

The childcare environment offers exciting opportunities for exploration and discovery,

 through a variety of learning experiences.

Movement Activities

Develop fine and gross motor skills, balance, and coordination.

Building Activities

Early science concepts (such as movement and balance) are explored through blocks, puzzles, and building materials

Art & Sensory Activities

Sensory exploration (with different materials and textures) and creative expression (painting, drawing, play doh etc.)

Imagination Activities 

Engaging in make-believe play helps children develop critical-thinking skills, body awareness, and an ability to make sense of the world.

Language Activities

Reading books, telling and acting out stories,  Felt Board,  develop language skills with Music and our Movement Program

Approaches to Learning

The ability to solve problems, explore the world around them, become more independent.

Cognitive Development

The ability to think critically and creatively and understand their world.

Language Development

The ability to communicate effectively using sounds, expressions, body language, and finally, oral and written language; ability to understand and respond to the communication of others.

Physical Development

The ability to coordinate and control large and small muscle movements; 

increasing awareness of health and safety concepts.

Social-Emotional Development

The ability to interact with others and their increasing awareness of themselves and their emotions;

 understanding of their relationships with others, such as family, friends, and community members.







Preschool / Kindergarten readiness

Pre-K 

Providing materials and experiences to develop critical thinkers and problem-solvers.

 Science, technology, engineering, and math are integrated into the program throughout the day.


Art 

Creativity, problem-solving, and self-expression are developed in this center, 

as children discover different art techniques, color concepts, and cooperation.

Building

Children build hand-eye coordination and practice inventiveness, 

as they develop goal-setting and critical thinking skills by counting, sorting, and patterning.

Dramatic Play 

Through cooperative pretend play, children develop early writing and reading skills,

 explore emotional expression, and learn how to make sense of real life.

Math 

Children begin to think critically about numbers and math concepts, such as addition and subtraction, while sorting, ordering, and using measuring tools.

Music & Movement 

Children love to move, dance, and sing. This center helps them to work on physical coordination,

 cooperation, and communication while having fun.

Science 

Classification, analysis, predicting, and experimenting are all skills children will use in this area, 

while exploring physical and early science concepts, including plant and animal life cycles.

Reading 

Story reasoning, print awareness, and word recognition are some of the significant literacy skills children begin to develop in this area.

Writing 

Children will begin to communicate through writing, as they work on letter and word recognition and formation, 

segmenting words into sounds, and putting sounds together to make words.
