What is Licensed Family Child Care?
Licensed Family Child Care is when one experienced educator operates out of her or his home
with a maximum program size of six to ten students.
To become licensed, a provider must go through:
A 3-part background check for every person in the household
Rigorous home inspection & unannounced visits from EEC Licensors at least once per year to ensure a healthy & safe environment
10+ hours of continuing education per year
Pediatric CPR & First Aid certification
Medication Administration training
Training in Safe Sleep, Childhood Health & Nutrition

My Name is Christina Pomarico.
I am the Owner of Miss Chrissy’s Minds In Motion Daycare & Preschool
•I have over 15 years of experience being EEC Certified in a licensed LFCC Daycare and Preschool.
•I am Infant/ Toddler & Preschool Teacher Certified by the EEC and LFCC Certified for 6 Children or 10 Children with an assistant ages Newborn - School age. Licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care.
•Director of Miss Chrissy's Melody and Motion which is an Early Childhood Music and Movement Program.
•Experience as a substitute preschool teacher at NPS (Public School).
•Experience working in several area center based childcare programs and FCC / LFCC daycares.
•Experience working with children with special needs and working closely with EI (Early Intervention). With knowledge of Special Education laws and Advocacy
•I teach EEC credited professional development training workshops for other licensed childcare providers in Massachusetts. Including Workshops for Curriculum and ASL / Baby sign language
• I am affiliated with the Blackstone Valley Providers Childcare Association. I have many years of continued early childhood education and professional development training
•I have a BA from Boston College 2007 with course work in Psychology and Child Development. I also Studied Early Childhood Education with Child Development from Bristol Community College 2014
•CPR/First Aid Certified. Full Background Check maintained by The State of MA with license.
About Me:
I have a true love of caring for and educating infants and children. I enjoy singing songs, dancing, reading, playing games, doing crafts, and science projects, teaching ASL / baby sign language and sneaking learning into everything that I do. I keep it fun and interesting with specialized training in child development.

To provide a curriculum which enables each child to develop new skills at their own ability levels, to prepare each child to succeed in kindergarten and to provide a safe, healthy environment for the children so their parents can obtain peace of mind about their child’s care. To provide a variety of activities in a safe, friendly, supportive environment.
